Alexi and Bianca - Cape Town City Wedding
Cape Town City Wedding
Ok - so I’ve been dying to share this awesome meet cute story. It’s like something out of Hollywood and I think it’s going to be pretty hard to top.
Bianca (the best name!) popped into her local Pick n Pay one day and caught the eye of a very good looking manager (Alexi). She didn’t know how to get his attention so being the awesome Girl Boss that she is she decided to take matters into her own hands and came up with an ingenious plan. She would buy dairy products (yoghurt and milk) and leave them out in the sun to go a little off. Then head back to the shop and ask to speak to the manager. Alexi is very shy and it took her 3 times of asking him out before he finally agreed to go on a hike with her (he thought she was just a customer and didn't want to cross the line). Nearly seven years later they tied the knot and are living proof that fairy tales do happen.
I absolutely loved shooting my first Greek wedding. From the breathtaking church - to the very special ceremony filled with so many traditions it was such a special day. They absolutely adore each other and my favourite moment during the day was when I asked Alexi something and he said it really didn’t matter as long as Bianca was happy because that makes him happy. Also, Bianca’s Dad gave one of the funniest speeches I’ve ever heard a FOB give. He had everyone in stitches.
Opa!
